The study used nonlinear analysis of electrogastrogram (EGG) signals and sensory evaluation to assess the effectiveness of EGG in odor evaluation with varying concentrations of vanilla odor. The Wayland algorithm detected changes in EGG signals and showed that translation error and odor intensity scores increased with concentration and were strongly correlated. These results suggest that EGG can be used as a method for odor evaluation.
