The study explored the use of electrogastrogram (EGG) for odor evaluation by analyzing the effects of different concentrations of vanilla odor. Both linear and nonlinear analyses were performed, along with sensory evaluations. The results showed that higher concentrations of vanilla odor increased the randomness of the EGG signals, as indicated by the translation error. A strong correlation was found between odor intensity and EGG signal randomness, suggesting that EGG can be used as a method for odor evaluation.
